Daniel A. Wark suffered a heart attack and passed away suddenly at the family home in Salmon Arm BC on Saturday evening July 27, 2019. He was 62 years old.
Danny grew up in West Vancouver and graduated from West Vancouver High School in 1974. He was passionately involved in athletics and drama while attending school. His love of music began with learning the guitar as a teenager which remained with him throughout his life. After high school, Dan moved on to UBC and completed his law degree at the University of Victoria. Dan completed his Articles in Vancouver and moved to Salmon Arm to join the firm of Sivertz Brecknell and Kiehlbauch who warmly welcomed him to the community. He never left. A year later he ventured out and opened his own practice, which he built for 35 years.
Dan met the love of his life Debbie and they were blessed with three beautiful children, Emily, Jackson and Susannah. They settled on their acreage in the Deep Creek Valley and raised their family. Dan and family were very active in tennis, figure skating and music.
He was very proud to watch and honoured to participate with his children in their musical accomplishments. Early in their life together Dan and Debbie both made the decision to trust Jesus Christ as their Lord and Saviour, and their children later did the same. Dan continued to grow in his walk with Jesus and became an integral part of his church family. His dedication to his faith was witnessed by many people and has made a large impact on the people with whom he interacted. Because of his faith we know he is now in his heavenly home, where his family will one day join him.
A funeral service for Dan will be held at Bowers Funeral Home at 440 10th Street SW, Salmon Arm, BC, on Saturday August 10 at 10:30 am, with a reception to follow.
