Donald James Kirby passed away suddenly on February 10, 2008 in Salmon Arm, British Columbia. Don was born on April 18, 1951 in Penticton, British Columbia and attended school in Penticton. He later settled in Salmon Arm where he raised his two sons Tyler and Trevor Kirby.

Don was a beloved father, brother, uncle, friend and co-worker. He was predeceased by his two parents and is survived by his two sons Tyler and Trevor Kirby, his two sisters and brother-in-laws, Gayle and Russ Williams of Spokane, Washington, and Jan and Earl Bowie of Red Deer, Alberta, his four nieces, Dana Anderson, Marty Dickinson, Amber Achtemichuk, Sasha Bowie and 3 grand nieces and 3 grand nephews.

Don worked at Rona for nearly 20 years, and enjoyed playing hockey and spending time with his sons and famiy. He was always willing to provide a helping hand and will be remembered and missed by many.

A memorial service will be held on February 29th at 11:00 a.m. at Shuswap Lake Estates Lodge.
