It is with sadness that the family of Doreen announces her passing on Saturday morning September 17, 2011 at the age of 91 years.
Born in Vancouver, BC on May 16, 1920. Doreen met and married Edgar and together they relocated to Salmon Arm in 1996. Her last 18months were spent at Hillside Village Salmon Arm were she had received exceptional care.
Doreen was pre- deceased by her husband; Edgar in 1998 and her son; Doug in 2003.
Doreen is survived by her children; Heather, Mary, Alice (Jim), Linda (Richard) and Bruce (Lupita), grandchildren; Shiloh, Coral, Seth, Daryl, R.J., Jeremiah, Rachel, Laura, Elizabeth, Samantha and Lawren, great-grandchildren; Dusk and Marley. She is also survived by her daughter-in law Anny (Mike).
A Celebration of Life Service will take place on Saturday September 24, 2011 at 3:00 pm from Bowers Funeral Chapel, Salmon Arm. A reception will follow in the mountainside room allowing family and friends to continue sharing memories.
