Doris Irene Morton

1923-2021 ~ Mom passed away peacefully at her home in Royston B.C. on July 12th, 2021 at the age of 98.
She was predeceased by her husband Ted Morton and is survived by two children, Larry (Rosemary) in Thornbury Ontario and Gerald (Kathy) in Victoria B.C. She has four grandsons, Mike (Mel), Keith (Jenn) Andrew (Alexandra) and Daniel (Diana), six great grandsons, one great granddaughter, and one on the way.
Born in Sidney B.C., Mom was raised in Salmon Arm where she met and married Dad. They moved to Kitimat in 1954, and then retired to Royston in 1976.
Mom was very active in the communities where she lived, and among her passions was the love of her gardens and flowers. She was a force of nature and will be deeply missed by her family, extended family, and a legion of good friends.
A come and go tea to celebrate Doris' life will be held at the Royston Community Hall, 3902 Island Hwy. Royston B.C., on Saturday, July 24th from 1 pm to 4 pm.
In lieu of flowers a donation to the Royston Hall or a charity of your choice would be appreciated.
