Mr. Douglas Ernest Jennings passed away in Salmon Arm, BC on November 9, 2009 at the age of 88 years, two days shy of his 89th birthday.

Born in Victoria, BC on November 11, 1920, Douglas has been a resident of the Shuswap since 1983, having moved from Victoria to Sorrento, followed by a move into Salmon Arm in 1999. He is well remembered and respected for his dedication with his mother and sister, enjoying the beauty and nature of the Shuswap.

Predeceased by his father, Ernest Thomas in 1964, brother in law, Heinz Scholz in 1997, sister, Lenora Fane in 1998, mother, L. Ethel M. Jennings in 1999 at the grand age of 108 years.

     Douglas leaves his loving family, sister, Muriel Scholz of Salmon Arm; nieces, Sheila (Patrick) O’Neill and Linda (Ed) Connor of St. Paul, Alberta; 6 great nieces and nephews and 5 great great grand nieces and nephews.

No flowers please, in favor of memorial donations to the charity of one’s choice.

A family graveside service with interment of Doug’s urn will follow in Royal Oak Burial Park, Victoria in spring time.
