Mrs. Edna Mary Field passed away in the loving care of her family at her daughter’s home in Salmon Arm, BC on April 14, 2008 at the age of 81 years.
A celebration of life reception will be held at the Mountain Side Room at Bowers Funeral Home on Saturday afternoon, May 10th at 2 p.m. with Jack Bowers presiding.
Born near Ardath, Saskatchewan on May 17, 1926, Edna was a resident of Parksville on Vancouver Island from 1961 until moving to Salmon Arm due to failing health in March of this year. She quickly fell in love with Salmon Arm and the Shuswap and the care she received from family and caregivers, including her local doctor.
Predeceased by her husband, Alfred William Field in 1953, Edna leaves her three daughters, Aileen (John) Pickard of Salmon Arm, Anne (John) Foster of Port McNeill and Pat (Jim) Grono of Campbell River; eight grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
