January 29, 1920 - July 3, 2018
Passed away peacefully at Magnolia Gardens Care Home in Langley July 03, 2018 in his 98th year. Born in Edmonton Alberta January 29, 1920, the eldest of 11 children. Cecil was predeceased by his wife Agnes. Survived by three sons, Ronald, Dennis and Evan; 5 grandchildren, Sean, Angie, Cole, Michael, & Leanne and 6 great grandchildren.

Cecil loved to recall his days growing up in Edmonton and especially liked to talk about his times working out at Cooking Lake AB as a young man. Cecil and Agnes were married July 3, 1941 in Edmonton AB. Shortly after, Cecil was called to the Army. He was stationed on the BC West Coast for five years. Following the war; Cecil & Agnes settled in Surrey British Columbia on a small farm.

Cecil held various labor jobs in the early years; and then became a post-man servicing the White Rock area until his retirement at 60 years of age. Beef cattle farming was Cecil's main interest and hobby. For many years he was actively involved with the 4H club; and on several occasions he entered his prize beef cattle in to the local 4H farm fairs. Through this hobby, Cecil and Agnes made many friends and created a social life around the farming community. Cecil lived a long and healthy life staying active until his early 90's.

A graveside service will be held on Monday, July 9, 2018 at noon, Valley View Memorial Gardens, 14660-72 Ave, Surrey, BC to be followed by a Memorial Service at the Arbor Reception Lounge.
