It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Eleanor Spence of Kelowna, on June 21st, 2017. Eleanor is survived by her children Rob (Elizabeth) Spence, of Kamloops, and Larry (Roberta) Spence, of Trail, as well as grandchildren Steven, Kurtis, and Sydney. Also left to cherish her memory are sisters Doreen and Kay, and brothers Russ, Sam and George. Eleanor was predeceased by her husband Bill, sister May and brother Bill.
Originally from Manitoba, Eleanor lived in Clearwater and then New Westminster, where she met her husband Bill. They then continued on to Salmon Arm before retiring in Kelowna (Winfield). She had a love of travel, both in an RV and abroad, seeing many parts of the world. Eleanor also enjoyed a golf game or a ski trip, and did many of those in her life. Family and friends were important to her, and she visited them all as much as possible.
There will be no service as per Eleanor’s request. Memorial donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
