Elsie Maude Bryne, of Calgary, passed away on Tuesday, January 8, 2008, at the age of 78 years.

Elsie was born and raised in Calgary. She married Dick Bryne in 1949. They owned and operated Allan’s Flowers from 1960 - 1975 and then retired to the Shuswap lake area where they established many close friends. Following the death of Dick, Elsie returned to Calgary and had resided at Calvanna Village where she met many new friends. Elsie’s spunk, cuteness, sense of humour and caring way was appreciated by all who knew and loved her.

Elsie is survived by a son and daughter-in-law; Rick and Gail Bryne of Saskatoon, SK and a daughter and son-in-law; Cathryn and Jim Webster of Calgary, AB. She is also survived by a sister and brother-in-law, Frances and Art Ruegg of Vancouver, BC and sister-in-law, Helen Dorward of Burnaby, BC. Elsie was predeceased by her husband Dick Bryne in 2002 and her brother Bill Dorward in 1992.
