Our tall and handsome boy is sleeping peacefully, and now our dreams are nothing like they were meant to be. Embry Arthur, much anticipated first child of Brett & Danielle VanderHoek, was born without a heartbeat on June 18, 2021 at Vernon Jubilee Hospital.
We are profoundly sad and grateful for all that Embry has taught us. He is forever loved, forever part of our family, and is grieved by many including his grandparents Art & Audrey VanderHoek and Ken & Heather Lawrence. Everyone wanted so badly to meet you, Embry. Sometimes it's the smallest things that take up the most room in our hearts.
Danielle & Brett would like to thank Jolene, Birte, VJH nurses, family, friends, and neighbours for their overwhelming compassion and support during this challenging time. No public service will be held; those who wish to memorialize our baby boy can do so by making a donation in lieu of flowers to the Vernon SPCA in Embry's name.
