Ewen Murdock McIntosh

April 29, 1937 - June 13, 2019
It is with deep sadness that the family of Ewen Murdock McIntosh announce his passing in the early morning hours of June 13th at the age of 82 years. His family spent time with him in the weeks and months before his passing while caring for him in home and his last few days in Shuswap Lake Hospital.
Ewen was born in Invermere BC where he spent his childhood and grew up with his older brother Bill and his parents. He left Invermere and resided in Revelstoke where he met and married his wife Dorothy. They lived in Revelstoke for a short time before making their home in Salmon Arm.
He enjoyed the outdoors, camping all over mainland BC and Vancouver Island as well as in Alberta and Alaska. He worked in the forest industry as a road builder most of that time with his own equipment. Ewen enjoyed woodworking as a hobby and it was a pleasure for him to share his creations with friends and family.
He is predeceased by his father Ewen Murdock McIntosh, mother Catherine "Kate" and brother Bill. He leaves behind his beloved wife of 48 years, Dorothy, Nicole and Ben (Lisa) and Darcy as well as many other family members on both sides of the family.
Our sincere thanks go out to Dr, Weicker, Dr. McKinnon and staff as well as Dr. Faddegon and staff in Kamloops and the Kelowna Cancer Clinic. We would also like to extend our appreciation to the Nurses and Care Aides working out of Community Care Health Services who were wonderful both in the office and later in our home to provide excellent care for him. This allowed him to stay in his home for as long as possible. Thank you to each and everyone of you for assisting us in this most difficult journey.

A celebration of life will be held on Saturday morning, June 22, 2019 at 10 am at Bowers Funeral Home, with reception to follow at Seniors 5th Avenue Activity Centre. Please join us in remembering him.
