We would like to announce the passing of Gerhard Ervin Weisse on December 5, 2012. He was born in Beisker, Alberta on September 7, 1928.
Our Dad was in the logging industry starting out in the Golden area. Moving to Calgary where he had his own lumber yard for many years. When he was thinking about retiring, he decided that the Shuswap was where he wanted to be so he found a piece of property in Eagle Bay and for any weekends he would travel back and forth and we would meet him there and we helped build up his property. Over the years he made many friends there and he always gave a helping hand.
All who knew Dad (Gerhard) have many wonderful memories of his time at Eagle Bay. He will be sadly missed by all his family and friends.
As requested there will be no funeral but there will be a Celebration of Life to be announced at a later date.
