Gladys Lilian Russell passed away in Bastion Place, Salmon Arm, BC on July 18, 2011, 3 days following her 87th birthday.
Born in London, England on July 15, 1924. She moved, with her late husband Jack Russell, from Winnipeg, Manitoba to Cedar Heights, Sorrento in 1974 to enjoy retirement life in the Shuswap. Jack predeceased her on May 15, 1994.
She leaves her three children, Graham Lloyd (Gail) of Surrey, Wayne George of North Vancouver, and Anne Marie Hall of Winnipeg; 6 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.
A graveside service will be held at the family plot in Blind Bay Cemetery on Monday morning, August 8th at 11 a.m. with Jack Bowers the funeral celebrant. A reception will follow in the Mountainside Room at Bowers Funeral Home at 12 noon, with an open invitation for friends to attend both, or if easier, join the family for the luncheon.
Memorial donations in memory of Gladys may be sent to the charity of one’s choice.
