It is with great sadness to announce the passing of Gunnar Vammen.
Caring father, brother and close friend passed away suddenly on July 17th, 2013 in Salmon Arm, BC at the age of 80. Gunnar was born in Dronninglund, Denmark on July 6th, 1933 and immigrated to Canada in 1959 to work outside of Calgary. He worked and farmed around Calgary until 1973, when he moved to a farm outside of Olds, Alberta. He remained in Olds until retirement in 1998, when he moved to Sicamous, BC. He is survived by his sons, Chris (Jacquie) and Shawn (Sheena), 4 grandchildren, Ryan, Rebbecca, Reed and Evan, brother Ove (Valerie) in Kelowna, and 7 siblings still living in Denmark. Gunnar will be sorely missed and never forgotten.
