It is with deep sorrow and much love that we mourn the passing of Harold Dwayne Jansen of Armstrong, BC following a short battle with brain cancer. Harold passed away peacefully on Friday, January 15, 2021 with his devoted wife Marian by his side.
He will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 18 years, Marian; parents Herman and Leida Jansen; brother Dale (Sophia) Jansen; sister Karen (Cal) MacLeod; brother Andrew (Cristie) Jansen; and sister Dawn (Jason) Dykstra, as well as brother-in-law Tom (Arta) Stoker, sister-in-law Valerie Stoker, sister-in-law Alice (Klaas) van der Wal, and brother-in-law Henry (Karen) Stoker along with many nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his mother-in-law Martha Stoker and by his brother-in-law John Stoker.
Harold was born in Abbotsford, BC on November 27, 1964. Growing up on a dairy farm in Matsqui, he loved working alongside his dad and eventually his brothers. As the farm grew, the brothers decided to relocate the farm to Armstrong, BC. Harold and Marian moved up in 2003 and soon formed roots in their new church and community.
He had a love of cars and machinery, and often had a project on the go. He was known for his boisterous and friendly personality.
A private family service will be held on Tuesday, January 26, 2021 at Bowers Funeral Service in Salmon Arm, BC The service will be available for viewing to extended family and friends via https://www.bowersfuneralservice.com/obituary/Harold-Jansen. A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, a donation may be made in Harold's name to the BC Cancer Society by visiting www.bccancerfoundation.com. As a family we thank the staff at VJH for their care and compassion while caring for Harold. We also wish to thank friends and family for continued prayers and support.
