Harold Micheal Bodner

April 16, 2010

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our father, Harold Micheal Bodner on April 16, 2010.

Harold was born September 4, 1938 in Salmon Arm, BC, where he grew up and met his late wife Anne Richards. They moved to Port Alberni where he worked for the local pulp mill and had their two children, Debbie and Darren. In 1976 the family moved to Chase and joined Chase Towing. Harold was well known in the community as a volunteer fireman, being involved with the lighting of the fireworks display, starting the annual Rubber Ducky Race, and driving a school bus. Dad enjoyed camping, gardening, and socializing with his neighbours and friends. Dad touched the lives of many people, and maintained his sense of humor to the end.

Harold was predeceased by his wife Anne, and father Mike Bodner. He is survived by his mother Helen Bodner of Salmon Arm, BC, sister Audrey Fontaine, Airdrie, Alberta, daughter Debbie (Kevin), Nanaimo, BC, son Darren (Denise), Kamloops, BC, mother in law Betty Richards, Chase, BC, sister in law Pat Dawson (Arnold), Chase, BC, grandchildren Janine (Troy), Devin and Jordan, and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and great grandchildren.

Special “Thank You” to Dad’s good neighbours on Lakeshore Drive and to Pine Grove Care Centre for all their care and support.

Friends and family are invited to an Open House at 229 Lakeshore Drive, Chase, BC on Saturday, May 15, from 12 to 3 p.m.
