Heinz Presch, born February 7, 1940 passed away peacefully in his home on August 28, 2009 after a brief battle with cancer.
Beloved husband, father, opa, uncle and brother; he leaves behind his wife Inge, daughters Sandra Martin and Barbara, son Chris, granddaughters Jessica and Sara, brothers and sister in Germany as well as many nieces & nephews.
Heinz immigrated to Canada in 1966 to Calgary, AB before moving with his family to Salmon Arm, BC in 1982.
He enjoyed gardening, fishing and playing crib and bingo. He was an active member at Canoe Seniors Hall and contributed much time and effort. He built many friendships over the years.
Thank you to all family and friends for their support as well as to the doctors and staff at the Shuswap Lake General Hospital and Calgary Foothills Hospital for all their care and support.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Heinz’s name may be made to the Shuswap Lake Hospital Foundation or the Canoe Seniors Centre.
A Celebration of Life was held at the Canoe Senior’s Centre on Thurs., Sept. 3, 2009.
