It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Helen in Vernon BC, on April 17th, 2009, within a day of the passing of her husband Howard. Born December 29th, 1920, Helen spent much of her life, 68 Years, married to Howard and living on a farm near Innisfail, Alberta. In 1971 Helen and Howard moved to Armstrong. Helen worked hard on the family acreage and spent her leisure time printing, traveling and taking pictures. Helen is predeceased by her daughter Avis Marie (1959) and her brother Art Simmons. She is survived by her sister Edna Walley and her children Ed Green (Ilene), Cheryl O’Brien (Kelly), and Teanna Guzzi, her great granddaughter Haylee O’Brien, and numerous nieces and nephews. She will be laid to rest in Armstrong-Spallumcheen Cemetery at a family ceremony. In lieu of flowers please send donations to the Parkinson’s Foundation of Canada, www.parkinson.ca.
