Joyce was born in Enderby to Walter and Mary Widmark. She lived in the area for most of her life, surrounded by friends and lots of family.

Survived by her mother Mary; brother Eric (Joyce); sister Adal (Dwight); children Deanna and Dwayne; grandsons Jordan, Jacob and Darin; many nieces; nephews; cousins; aunts and uncles.

Also left behind was her long time companion Tom Nishimura, her dog, Skeeter and all her friends at the Legion.

She enjoyed camping; fishing; watching the Canucks; shuffleboard Thursday; meat draw Saturday; and a cold beer on a hot day.

A service will be held at the Royal Canadian Legion in Salmon Arm on Thursday, January 12 at 1:00 p.m. A time of fellowship (and snackies) will follow at 2:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to the BC SPCA, 5850 Auto Road SE, Salmon Arm, V1E 2X2 would be appreciated.

Her family would like to thank Dr. Stacey Kirkman for his kindness and compassion during this difficult time.

There will be a gathering during the summer on The Meadow of the farm. Family is invited to join Mom for one last tractor ride. Details to be decided at a later date.
