Irena Wenger passed away at the young age of 48 with a gentle smile across her face after a struggle with cancer, early Wednesday March 16th, 2011. She was surrounded by immediate family at it was a very tearful goodbye.

She was born in Slovenia in 1962 but spent her childhood in Calgary, Alberta. That was where she met her true love, Sam Wenger. They were married in Switzerland in 1984 and after having two daughters, moved to Salmon Arm.

Journeau, Dr. Schneider, Dr. Venter and the staff at Bastion Place for all of their help and support.
