Jack Henley Milledge, a true sportsman and family man passed away quietly in his home on the morning of Thursday, August 5th, 2010 at the age of 82 years young. He was born in Vancouver, B.C. on March 27, 1928, the second son of Arthur and Clarice Milledge. He grew up in New Westminster and Victoria. He married Kathleen Stewart in Vancouver in 1954 and then moved his family to Regina where he started a successful business forms company. During this time, Jack was an active Rotarian, serving as the president of Eastview Rotary. In 1978 he and Kathleen moved to Salmon Arm where he worked in the newspaper and tourism industries.

Jack had a very affable personality and was an avid sportsman who excelled at tennis, golf, and hunting, however, his real love was fishing. Ghilly Jack was an active member of the Shuswap Fly Fishers Club.

Jack is predeceased by his parents, older brother Bernard, and daughter-in-law Anne.

He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Kathleen, and his five children, Duncan (Andrea), Patricia (Robert), Susan (Spencer), Gordon, Douglas (Tiffany); ten grandchildren Jamie, Jonna, Rachel, Anthony, Jocelyn, Stefanie, Brandon, Ian, Elizabeth Bodhi; three great grandchildren Marin, Beck, Shawn; as well as his sister Gwen.

A celebration of Jack’s life will be held at the chapel of Bowers Funeral Home on Friday, August 13, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. with Jack Bowers the funeral celebrant. Tributes will be shared by family and friends, with special music by family.
