Jack passed away suddenly at the Hillside Village on September 9, 2018. He was born on July 10, 1936 in New Westminister, B.C and resided in Surrey until age 18 when he joined the R.C.A.F. He served in several Canadian Bases and in Marville France. He retired in 1981 after 26 years of service.
Jack will be sadly missed by his loving wife of 33 years, Bernice. Daughters, Anita (Dale) Lapinsky of Pender Harbour, Tonya (Al) Bennett of Surrey. Sister Sonja Bowey of Langley, nieces Karen Bowey and Liana (John) Wirtz and grandson Sheldon all of Langley. Also step daughter Colleen Lougheed of Prince George, BC.
Thanks to the kind staff and residents of Hillside for making Jack feel at home.
A service of remembrance will be held at Shuswap Community Church in Salmon Arm on Saturday September 22 at 11:00 am with Pastor Lawrence Hudson officiating.
