In loving memory ~

1932-2024

Jacob (Jack) Appel, 92 years, passed away on Tuesday, July 30th in the Salmon Arm General Hospital. Jack was predeceased by his wife Gloria of 62 years, his brother Wilfred Appel and sister Alvina Bernhardt. Jack will be sadly missed by his three children Kim (Shane) Kuntz, Gary (Jane) Appel and Donna Appel, his grandchildren Cody Appel, Corey Kuntz, Jaclynn and Blake Litchfield, great grandchildren Cashton Kuntz and Brody Appel, sister Agnes Exner, brother Raymond Appel, as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Jack and Gloria married in Regina, SK in 1958. They moved to Melville, SK where Jack and his brother Wilfred started Apple's Transport and then to Calgary, AB where Jack worked for Alberta Furniture and Servicemaster. Jack and Gloria then owned and operated Punky's Pizza in Calgary, AB, before retiring in Canoe, BC.

Jack is best known for his wit, sense of humor and making people laugh. He loved to entertain, and loved country music, playing the harmonica and dancing. He liked to BBQ, make apple pies and cabbage rolls. His love, affection and generosity will be truly missed.

Special thanks to Dr. Enns, the care aids that came to the house and the doctors and nurses at the hospital for taking such excellent care of Jacob (Jack). Thanks to Vince, Tammy and Sue for their expertise and patience in getting all this together.
