Jacqueline Marie Prive (Johnson) passed away in Shuswap Lake General Hospital, Salmon Arm on the morning of Wednesday, October 5, 2011 with family members by her side, at the young age of 65.

A Celebration of life service was held from the chapel of Bowers Funeral Home on Saturday, October 8, 2011 with her son Trevor Johnson as the funeral celebrant.  Jacquie’s eulogy was read by her eldest son Michael Johnson and poems written and read by her third son Doug Johnson and daughter Cindy Byers. 

Internment followed the service at Mt. Ida Cemetery, Salmon Arm with some of her ashes spread over her Granddaughter, Angela Byers’ grave.  A reception was held at her daughter’s home in Tappen, BC surrounding a bonfire, one of Jacquie’s favourite things to do.

Born in Humboldt, Saskatchewan Jacqueline was born the 7th of 10 children on May 31, 1946.

Jacquie is predeceased by her first husband Lorne Johnson, granddaughter Angela Byers, mother and father Joe and Agnes Koberinski, brothers Joey, Elmer, Ronald and Kelly.  Jacquie is survived by her remaining siblings, Lorraine (Joe) Bernauer, Eileen Koberinski, Alvin Koberinski, Eleanor (Howard) Reynaud and JoAnne (Howie) Cole and many, many nieces and nephews.

Jacquie leaves her loving family, Mike (Shelley) Johnson, Trevor (Chrissy) Johnson, Doug (Debbie) Johnson and Cindy (Tom) Byers and her 13 Grandchildren (her pride and joy),  Lane, Natasha, Curtis, Tyler, Joel, Eric, Adam, Krystal, Nicole, Janelle, Katie, Sarah, Samantha and one new beautiful Great Grand daughter Jemma and her second husband Art Prive.

Jacquie was an extremely hard worker throughout her entire life, very giving and always thoughtful of others.  She liked to laugh and have fun and most of all was devoted to her family.  She loved family gatherings, outdoor activities and was the best Grandma and Great Grandma that could ever be.

After a very courageous, but short fight with Cancer, keeping her mind, humour and spirit Jacquie left this world knowing “she was going home”.
