James Francis Tod was taken from us suddenly on July 2, 2008 at the age of 76. Born in Mannville Alberta, he spent his 34 year engineering career in Saskatchewan, Edmonton and Calgary as a dedicated employee of Imperial Oil Limited. He retired in 1987 to Salmon Arm where he enjoyed the sense of community that he discovered there. He will be fondly remembered as a devoted family man and friend and for his energy and enthusiasm for life. He readily shared his passion for sports and gardening in lively conversation with anyone willing to listen. Celebrating his life are Mona, his wife of 51 years, son Kevin (Sara) granddaughters Erin & Alison, son David (Lynda) grandchildren Nicole, Daniel & Kristina, brother Jack (Audrey) Scott, Shelley & Shauna, mother-in-law Grace Quinn, sister-in-laws, brother-in-laws and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews. A Celebration of Life reception will be hosted by the family on Saturday July 26, 2008 from 2 – 4 p.m. at Fischer’s Funeral Services located at 4060 1st Avenue SW, Salmon Arm BC (250) 833 – 1129.
