Janice Haworth (Rabjohn) passed away on February 21, 2008, at Shuswap Lodge, Salmon Arm BC. Born July 5, 1923 in Rotherham, England, she emigrated with her husband and two daughters to Canada in 1948, living briefly in BC and Quebec before settling in Niagara Falls, Ontario. She returned to live in BC in 2001 after visiting her daughter here for several summers. Janice enjoyed quiet pastimes like reading, crossword puzzles, listening to classical music, bird watching, and following the fortunes of her favorite baseball team, the Blue Jays.

Predeceased by her husband of 45 years, Captain Thomas Kenneth Haworth, Janice will be sadly missed by her daughters Joyce (Rudy) Dyck of St. Catharines, Ontario and Gillian (Trevor) Richardson of Blind Bay, BC; granddaughter Sheri (Jason) MacDougall of Grimsby, Ontario and grandson Rudy Dyck Jr. of Mississauga, Ontario. She was the proud and loving great-grandmother to Kailyn and Connor MacDougall. She also leaves a brother, Donald Rabjohn of Dinnington, England.

We wish to thank Dr. J. Levins and Dr. D. Myers, as well as the staff of Shuswap Lodge for their special care and thoughtfulness. No service. Donations in memory of Janice may be made to the Shuswap Hospital Foundation, or Variety, the Children’s Charity. Arrangements in care of Fischer’s Funeral Services & Crematorium, Salmon Arm.
