Jean “Bunty” Lund passed away in Shuswap Lake General Hospital, Salmon Arm, BC in the early hours of Thursday, July 8, 2010 at the age of 83 years.

The funeral service was held from St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church, Salmon Arm, on the morning of Tuesday, July 13th at 10:30 a.m. with John and Janet Hanna officiating. The church ladies provided a reception in the lower auditorium of the church, allowing the family and friends to continue sharing memories.

Born in Knockando, Morayshire, Scotland on February 12, 1927. During the war, she met Canadian Soldier John Lund, they were married in Scotland in 1945, and she came to Canada to join her husband, arriving in Canoe on September 23, 1946.

Bunty was an active resident of the area, for years with the Canoe Ladies Aid, Canoe Seniors, as well years of dedicated work with her church, St. Andrews Presbyterian.

John predeceased her on October 22, 1999.

Bunty leaves her loving family; daughter, Rosemary of Malakwa, John (Lois) of Salmon Arm, Brian (Doris) of Canoe; 7 grandchildren, Gordon, Maryanne, Donald, Jane, David, Jock and Jason; 6 great grandchildren, Fischer, Tanya, Jacob, Elizabeth, John, Lilijana; and her brother, Sandy Stewart in England, and sister Rachel also living in England.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be sent to the Shuswap Lake Hospital, PO Box 265, Salmon Arm, BC VIE 4N3
