Eileen Jean Carlson passed away suddenly in Shuswap Lake General Hospital, Salmon Arm on Sunday, April 25, 2021 at the age of 91 years.
A family graveside service was held in the family plot in Mt. Ida Cemetery, Salmon Arm, with Jack Bowers the funeral celebrant.
Born in Salmon Arm, BC on April 17, 1930. Jean went to school in Carlin, then resided in Kamloops working at The Bay where she met her future husband, George. Resided in Summerland, Vernon and then back to Salmon Arm in 1955.
Jean was a quiet lady, extremely dedicated wife, mother and grandmother, which included being well organized, including keeping a sharp mind until the end, making sure all her tasks were in order.
Predeceased by her husband, George in 2009, daughter Theresa Ann Garcia in 2001.
Jean leaves her son, Gary (Gail), grandchildren, Aaron (Diana) Carlson, Stephanie Garcia, great grandchildren, Darian, Nicole and Madisyn; and her son in law, Joe Garcia;
Memorial donations may be sent to the Shuswap Hospital Foundation.
