Jeanne was born October 8, 1943 in Stoke-on-Trent, England and passed away September 30, 2009 at the Shuswap Lake General Hospital after a short and devastating battle with multiple myeloma. She was surrounded by her daughters and loving husband.

Jeanne leaves behind her mother Rita, husband Bob, daughters Danielle (Dean) and Nicole (Scott), stepdaughters Elana and Leta (Chris), and grandchildren Evan and Jesse, Jasmine and Charlie, Shae, Reeve and Mirinde.

Jeanne lived in England, Cyprus, Montreal, Vancouver, Vernon, Falkland and Salmon Arm. She was employed with the local school district for 35 years. In the last 21 years she traveled the world and followed the sun with her soulmate Bob. She was a wicked card player, dancer and music lover.  She had a passion for life, love and laughter.  She was a truly dedicated and loving mother, grandmother and wife. Jeanne’s memory will be “Always and Forever” in our hearts.

The family wish to express a sincere thank you to the entire medical team and hospital staff  involved in Jeanne’s care.

A Celebration of Life was held Saturday afternoon, October 3, 2009 2 p.m. at Bowers Funeral Chapel, with tributes shared by family and friends. A reception followed in the Mountainside Room allowing the memories to continue.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Canadian Red Cross, 2280 B Leckie Road, Kelowna, BC VIX 6G6.
