BOGUSKI, Jennifer (nee Pastuck) passed away at Shuswap Lake General Hospital, Salmon Arm, BC on Saturday, April 5, 2008 at the age of 91 years.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held from St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, Salmon Arm on Saturday, April 12 at 11:00 am, with Father George LaGrange,

OMI, celebrant. Cremation will follow and interment of her cremated remains will be held at a later date in her husband’s plot in the Garden of Gethsemane Cemetery, Surrey, BC.

Jennie was born on January 10, 1917 in Bagot, Manitoba and has resided in Salmon Arm for the past three years. Jennie was predeceased by her husband, John. She will be lovingly remembered by her four children, Louise McDonald, Dianne Huppert (Louis), Tom Boguski and Joanne Lovall; eleven grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. Also, surviving is her sister, Anne Ives.

Jennie often remarked about the wonderful community feeling she experienced here in Salmon Arm from the Parkinson Group to the Senior’s Outreach Program and all the support from the Community Care Workers. She was especially grateful for Dr. Gow’s help when she first arrived in Salmon Arm. She will never forget the wisdom from Dr. W. Bell two years ago when she landed in emergency and she often reminisces about his violin playing at SLGH at Christmastime. She looked forward to her visits with Dr. S. Kirkman with his wonderful sense of humour. Most of all she felt the love, support and friendship of a wonderful angel named Sandy Cockram from St. Joseph’s Church who was the Eucharist Minister.

Jennie was not too conscious during that last week so the family would like to thank on her behalf all the nurses in the lower level of the hospital for their sensitive caregiving. Judy from Shuswap Hospice Society and Dr. A. Howatt were also gentle supportive souls during that last week.

If so desired, contributions in memory of Jennie may be made to the Senior’s Outreach.
