On December 19, 2009, Jim Millwater answered the Lord’s tender call and went Home to enjoy his heavenly rest.

Born on January 18, 1925, in Oak Lake, Manitoba, Jim joined the army at age 16 and served in the Second World War, retiring from services at age 45. He called many cities and towns home throughout Canada and abroad before settling on Salmon Arm to live out his later years. He worked as head of security at the B.C. Provincial Museum of Victoria as well. Jim enjoyed fishing and woodworking, as well as “puttering” in the garden with his loving wife Agnes.

Left to cherish his memory are his brother Cliff, son Jim (Ria), daughter Lori, grandchildren Jonathan, Joseph, Carissa, and Zachary (Vanessa), and great grand-daughter Zophie, as well as many nieces, nephews, and friends.

Jim was predeceased by his father Henry, mother Myrtle, wife Agnes, brothers Ernie, Bill (Margaret), and sister Agnes.

Many thanks to the staff of Oakside Manor, as well as Landers Lodge for your devoted care and many kindnesses. You helped make his final days most bright.

As per Jim’s request no funeral service will be held.

Friends so wishing may make memorial donations to Landers Lodge; Jim’s “home”.

Goodbye Dad...we will meet again on Heaven’s shores, and oh what stories we will tell!
