Joyce Ann Burke passed away in Shuswap Lake General Hospital, Salmon Arm, BC in the early hours of Wednesday, September 14, 2016 at the age of 90 years.

The Funeral Service was held from the Salmon Arm Seventh-Day Adventist Church on Sunday morning, September 18th at 11:30 a.m. with Pastor David Rodgriguez and Pastor Victor Gill officiating.

Joyce was born in Cowan, Manitoba on December 14, 1925. As well as raising her family, Joyce had a career in nursing, commencing in Manitoba, then Haney and Kelowna. With her late husband she moved from Kelowna to Salmon Arm in 1987, to Eagle Bay in 1992, and moved back to Salmon Arm in 2005.

Joyce kept an active life with her many friends, family and Church family.

She was predeceased by her husband, Roland (Rollie) in 2002 and recently suffered with the loss of her grandson, Brett Cathro on August 29th in a motor vehicle accident at Fort McMurray.

Joyce leaves her loving and dedicated family, children, Patricia of Salmon Arm, Linda Kate (Chuck) Bryan of Maple Ridge, Keith (Janet) of Fort St. John, and Dave (Arlene) Cathro of Salmon Arm; 8 grandchildren, Peter, Chuck, Christopher, Rebecca, Ryan, Steven, Daniel, Lesley; 14 great grandchildren, and her brother, Doug (Shirl) Burke of Alberta.
