It is with heartfelt sadness that we announce the passing of Judy Gertrud on April 14, 2017 in the Vernon Jubilee Hospital, surrounded by caring Staff and friends. Born July 28, 1924 in Austria. Judy worked as a Nurse for many years and then as a Community Health Nurse in the North Okanagan. She was well known for her participation in the community and surrounding area. Judy was predeceased by her sister, Christine; brothers, Fritz and Hans Heinrich. She is lovingly remembered by her two sisters, Elisabeth Sertl and Gretl (Helmut) Pilss; brother, Walther (Ingrid) Butschek; nieces and nephews, in Europe, and her wide circle of Canadian friends. There will be a Celebration of Life on Sunday, April 30th at 11:00 am at Bowers Funeral Service in Salmon Arm. Reception will follow.
