Kathleen Johnson

Was born on March 20, 1923 in Kamloops, B.C. and passed away peacefully at home on September 28, 2007 at the age of 84. Kathleen was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She was predeceased by her husband Ernie, her brothers Vincent and Joe, her sisters Anne, Magaret and Mary.

She is survived by her daughter Wendy (Ken Bagnall), sons Randy (Freddie), Laurie (Ann Marie), Martin (Celia): grandchildren Michael (April), Stefanie (Karl), Rhett, Kate, Laura, Dan, Jennifer (Randy), Amy, Darren, Michelle, Natalie, Jeffrey, Andrew and Callum: great-grandchildren Christine, Brandon and Michelle: sisters-in-law Irene (Asher Smith), Rose and many nieces and nephews.

Kathleen was raised in Kamloops where she graduated from Saint Ann’s Academy. Married to Ernie in 1942, for the next 40 years lived in all three prairie provinces until retirement when they returned to B.C. at Blind Bay. Kathleen and Ernie gathered lifelong friends no matter where they lived. A Past-president of the CWL and member for over 25 years, Kathleen enjoyed golf, curling, bridge, gardening, cooking, entertaining and travelling.

A celebration of Kathleen’s life will be held on Wednesday, October 3, 2007 at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church at 1:30 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Canadian Diabetes Association, P.O. Box 1301, Vernon, B.C. V1T 6N6.
