On June 24, 2009, Kathy passed away peacefully in her sleep, leaving us to be reunited with her Mother and Step-father, Grace and Donald Clark, her Father John Harvey, her sister Gwendolyn, her nephew Shane Clark (affectionately known to Kathy as Tiny) as well as her close friends Carol and Willow.

Surviving Kathy are her brothers Maxwell (Valerie) Clark and family, Keith (Lisa) Clark and family and her sister Linda Clark.  Also missing Kathy is her Lyndale Lodge family:  Faye, Alain, Karen, Janice, Buddy, Terry, the McPherson family and Lyndale Staff.

Kathy was born on February 19, 1949 in Quebec.  She spent her early years there in the Matepedia Valley, moved to Alberta for a few years and then settled in Enderby, BC in the early 1960’s.  She blessed her family with many memories of life on the farm until 1978.  At that time, she moved into the Lyndale Lodge in Salmon Arm where she was lovingly welcomed by her new family.

Life at Lyndale was full of laughter and learning.  Kathy’s time at the Workshop included preparing award winning crafts as well as much socializing and enjoying life.  She enjoyed swimming and excelled at bowling.  There was no one prouder than Kathy when she came home sporting an award-winning Special Olympics Ribbon.  Kathy had her chores to do, but often found ways to get out of work whenever she saw an opportunity for a good deep laugh.

Please join us on Saturday July 4th at Bowers Funeral Chapel at 2:00pm as we all join together to reminisce and laugh.  In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Lyndale Lodge .
