Kay Daniels

July 29, 2020

July 15, 1963 - July 29, 2020
On July 29th 2020, Kay gently excused herself from the world after a fierce battle with cancer.
Mom was born on July 15th, 1963 during a heat wave in Pasadena, TX; likely contributing to her lifelong love of sunshine and heat. She was mostly raised in North Delta and lived most of her life in the lower mainland.
She relocated to Salmon Arm in 2018 to be up on the Shuswap where she had spent countless summers with family. Mom passionately loved music with every fibre of her being and was talented at passing along her treasury of musical knowledge to anybody that seemed interested.
She had a gift for making a lasting impression on everyone she encountered.
She was predeceased by her son Geoffrey, her dad Frank, and many other family members and friends that have gone before her. She is survived by her daughter Jeannine (Brian), 3 grandchildren, mom Loraine, brother Ernie (Jackie), two nieces, and many other family members and friends.
We'd like to give a big thank you to those who have gone above and beyond over the last 19 months to give Mom the very best care; Dr. Lorenz, Dr. Main, Dr. Journeau, the SLGH Oncology team, Moms Palliative team (especially Joel), and Dr. Bell. We wouldn't have had these extra months with Mom without your care and love. We are so grateful for you all.
There will be no service by request. In lieu of flowers, please live as Mom would have wanted by surrounding yourself with music and by not allowing anyone in your life to be a Seahawks or Leafs fan.
