Lee Jean Nesbitt passed away early on May 28.ELee was born in Castlegar, B.C. on December 20, 1953 as Shelley Jean Banigan. She grew up in Castlegar, Robson, Gandforks and Vancouver.

She moved to Salmon Arm and ran a Daycare Center. She then moved to Castlegar and while attending Selkirk College she received a Social Service Certificate, a Human Service Diploma plus a Bachelor of Social Work from the University of Victoria.

She worked diligently as a volunteer for a number of organizations including the Career Development Center and spent countless hours painting craft items in the Center's workshop. However it was her last volunteer position, that of lead coffee maker and hostess for the Adult Drop in at Trail Alliance Church, which she claimed as her favourite.

A Celebration of Lee's Life will be held at 2:00 pm, Saturday, June 16, 2018 at Sanctuary, 1705 Bay Avenue in Trail. The gathering will be led by Rev. Ken Siemens and is open to all of Lee's many friends.
