Lena peacefully went to be with her Lord on Saturday January 22, 2011 in Salmon Arm, BC at the age of 78 years following a brief battle with cancer. She is lovingly remembered by her husband Hank; children Clarence (Freda) of Yarrow, BC., Ray (Rona) of Calgary, AB., Diane (Henry) of Bow Island, AB., Ruth of Vancouver, BC., and Sharon (Corey) of Vernon, BC; grand children Christopher (Jaylene), Travis, Cecelia (Andrew), Carrie-Lynn (Andrew), Nathan (Christy), Lindsay (Jeremy), Bryan, Sarah, Esther, Nathan, Emma-Lee, Chelsea, Trevor, Jamie and Tyler; 7 great grand children as well as by her brother Tony (Corrie) and their family.
The family wishes to extend their sincere thanks to Dr. Warren Bell for his exceptional care and to the staff at Bastion Place for making Lena’s final days as dignified and comfortable as possible.
A Celebration of Lena’s Life will be held at Fischer’s Funeral Chapel, 4060 1st Ave. SW, Salmon Arm, BC., on Friday January 28, 2011 at 2:00 pm with Reverend Ben Hall Officiating.
