It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Lloyd Alexander McConnell on September 7, 2008 with his family by his side.
He is survived by his loving wife of 55 years, Shirley, his three children Rod (Shannon) of Chase, Wayne of Lee Creek and Maureen of Chase, twelve grandchildren and ten great grandchildren.
Lloyd was predeceased by his son Leslie in 2006 and granddaughter Pauline in 2005, his sister Margaret and brother Les.
Lloyd was born December 7, 1929 in Chase. Working in the forest industry for 60 years, Lloyd ended his career as a night watchman for Adams Lake Lumber. He enjoyed fishing and hunting and in his retirement years playing the lottery and watching baseball and his Toronto Blue Jays. Lloyd was a loving husband, father, grandfather and friend and will be dearly missed.
An open house for family and friends will be held on Saturday, September 20, 2008 at 1:00 p.m. at the family residence, 910 Hysop Road, Chase.
