LYNNE RUTH MARGARET (DENNEY)
GERBRANDT
January 7, 1966 – May 19, 2011
With much sadness we announce that Lynne passed away peacefully on May 19, 2011, at Foothills Medical Center in Calgary AB after a lengthy illness.
Lynne was born in Winnipeg MB on January 7, 1966, and at an early age moved to Kelowna BC. In 1979 Lynne moved to Salmon Arm BC where she completed her education at SASS. In 1986 Lynne ventured to Calgary AB to enter the work force where she eventually specialized as an accountant with Regal Building Materials, and most recently, with UFA/Wholesale Sports.
Lynne was a big fan of theater, the arts and all sports, but especially the Calgary Hitmen hockey team. Lynne’s kitchen was always open, especially for muffins and chocolate chip cookies.
Lynne was pre-deceased by her maternal grandmother Ruth Marples and her paternal grandparents Maxine and Hugh Denney. Lynne is survived by her loving husband Jim; her parents Jan and Dennis Denney; her grandfather David (Jeanne) Mackling; her brother John (Allison) and nieces Helene and Demetra; Jim’s sons Michael (Danielle) and their sons Jacob and Michael, Douglas and Carl (Christie); and aunts, uncles, cousins and their families.
In lieu of flowers, donations to the Calgary AB chapter of the Canadian Liver Foundation would be appreciated.

A Celebration of Life was held at Pierson’s Funeral Home in Calgary AB on Saturday May 28, 2011, at 10:30 am. Jack Bowers, celebrant. Tributes were shared by members of the family followed by a reception at the chapel. Interment will follow at a later date in the family plot in Kelowna City Cemetery.
Funeral arrangements were in the care of Bowers Funeral Home and Crematorium.
