Mabel DeVeer

Mabel de Veer left this life peacefully in Shuswap Lake General Hospital, Salmon Arm, BC on December 8, 2011 at the age of 90 years.

Born in Ste Anne, Manitoba on December 13, 1920, she has resided in South Canoe since 1981.

Predeceased by her husband, Theodore (Ted) de Veer, daughter in law, Carol de Veer, parents, Henry and Anna Penner, and her sister, Alice Klassen.

She will be missed by her loving family; son, Howard (Kris), daughters, Romona (John) Damen, and Carol; grandchildren, Cheryl and Jeff de Vries, Patti and Lee Bliss, Gerald and Cassidy de Veer, Mike and Yolanda Damen, Tim and Loretta Damen, Logan and Rachel Reimer, Jeff, Kevin and Lindsey Mayhew; 16 great grandchildren; sister, Doris Barkman; brother, Sid (Irene) Penner; sister in laws, Eva Regehr and Dora (Ted) Wiebe; and many friends.

The Funeral Service was held from the Church of God in Christ, Mennonite, on Gardom Lake Road, Enderby, on Monday afternoon, December 12th at 1 p.m. with Ministers Craig Thiessen and Robert Klassen officiating.

Interment followed in the family plot in Hullcar Cemetery.

Pallbearers were; Gerald de Veer, Jeff de Vries, Lee Bliss, Mike Damen, Tim Damen, Logan Reimer.
