Mac Baker passed away in Calgary on December 9, 2011 at the age of 90 years.
Mac is survived by his loving wife Trudy, his four children Shelley Sproule, John, Andy (Diane) and Mike Baker, as well as his five stepsons Darryl (Lori), Kent (Patti), Scott (Valerie), Blair (Laura) and Duane (Twyla) Anderson. Mac also leaves behind his sister Jean Morgan of Lyndsay ON , his brothers Doug Baker of Calgary AB and Rod (Giselle) Baker of Sudbury ON, sixteen grandchildren, six great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by sister Beryl Hawkins and brother Claire Baker.
Everyone who knew Mac had the greatest respect and admiration for him, his loyalty, generosity, kindness and high integrity were evident in both his business dealings and towards his family.
A Celebration of Mac’s Life will be held at the Glencoe Club (636 29 Avenue S.W.) on Saturday, December 17, 2011 from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Condolences may be forwarded through www.mcinnisandholloway.com.
