It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Malcolm MacPherson at the age of 79 years.

Malcolm was born in Borden, Saskatchewan. The family moved to Canoe when he was 10 years old. After his high school graduation, Malcolm started working at Federated Co-op. He worked in several roles over the years, retiring in 2003 from his position as Controller. At the time of his retirement, he was recognized by Federated as the employee who had been there the longest.

Malcolm was an avid golfer and one of the first members of the Salmon Arm Golf Course.

Every winter while his children were growing up, Malcolm spent countless hours building a backyard ice rink that was enjoyed by the entire neighbourhood.

He will be lovingly remembered by his wife, Terry; their children: Mark (Darlene), Caroline (Brian) Faber, and Robert; and grandchildren: Kieran and Ryan. He is also survived by his brother, Don (Maureen); and sister, Barb (Dave) Peterson. He was predeceased by his parents, Donald and Queenie; and by his brother, Robert.

A Requiem Mass was held at Our Lady Queen of Peace Church in Vernon on Tuesday, June 6, 2017 with his son, Fr. Robert MacPherson as the Celebrant.
