March 20, 2019

February 26, 1924 - March 20, 2019
Bette's family sadly announce her passing at the Marjori Willoby Hospice Centre in Kamloops. Born at Powell River, BC to Marguerite and Charlier Sommers, she spent many years in the coastal areas before moving to the Okanagan in the early 1940s.
After a short marriage to John Materie, the family moved to Kamloops where she met and married Boots Reynolds.
She and Boots resided in the Kamloops and Salmon Arm areas until the 1970s, then in Princeton and Terrace, BC before retiring to Chase, BC in 1990.
She is greatly missed by her children: Richard/Lois Materie of Salmon Arm; Darlene Ramsay of Kamloops; David Reynolds of Chase; Corinne Reynolds of Vernon and Debbie/Doug Elliot of Chase.
Mom was blessed with 21 grandchildren, though four have since passed on and with many great and great great grandchildren.
Also missing her is her brother's in law, Neil Reynolds of Salmon Arm and Bill Morrisson of Kamloops and many nieces and nephews.
Mom was predeceased by her daughters Dale Ambridge of Dryden, Ontario in November 2014, her husband Boots Reynolds in April 2016 and Diane Stewart of Vernon, BC in August 2016.
Bette is remembered for her love of music and her guitar. She and Boots were actively involved with the AA community for nearly 50 years.
