Our family is saddened to announce the death of our dearly loved Mother, Aunt, Grandmother and Great Grandmother Marjorie Plummer at Shuswap Lake General Hospital with her daughter and niece by her side. Marjorie is survived by her daughter Judy Decker (Roy) niece Diane Leonard (Wayne); grandchildren, Scott Decker (Susanne), Adrian Decker (Carmen), Kyle Decker (Shauna), Erin Plummer and Greg Plummer (Kirsty), Great-nephews; Justin Leonard (Jenny), Joel Leonard (Jen) and Donald Gutrath (Allison). Marjorie is also survived by 8 great-grandchildren a great-great nephew and a great-great niece. Marjorie was predeceased by her husband, Jack Plummer, son; Barry Plummer, niece; Dawn Gutrath, 5 brothers and 1 sister.

Marjorie was born near Midland, Ontario in 1918. She and her family moved to Saskatchewan in 1926. In 1940 while working at Waskesui in Prince Albert National Park she met her future husband Jack Plummer. They were married in 1941 and later moved to B.C. living in Pioneer where her son Barry was born, Vancouver, Kamloops, where her daughter Judy was born, Adams Lake, Blind Bay and Sorrento. After her husband died Marjorie moved to Salmon Arm to be close to Family, living at Piccadilly Terrace and finally Piccadilly Care Centre.

Marjorie enjoyed people and had many friends at Adams Lake in Blind Bay, Sorrento and Salmon Arm. She enjoyed playing bridge, trips to Reno, golf, gardening and painting in oils and pastels. She was as a long time member of the Blind Bay painters and sold many paintings over the years. In earlier years she was Girl Guide leader, worked in the office at Holding Lumber Company and enjoyed acting in amateur theatre.

The family would like to thank Dr. James Levins for his kind care. We would also like to thank the staff at Piccadilly Terrace and at Piccadilly Care Center where Marjorie has lived since January 2011.

Marjorie will be deeply missed by her family.

There will be private family gathering at a future date.
