A life well lived ...
In 1924 Martha was born to Swiss immigrants in Raymore, Sask.
When she was 2 her family moved west to the Fraser Valley near Abbotsford (Sumas Prairie).
As a teenager she worked along side her mother housekeeping and preparing meals for the workers on a large dairy farm.
She met our Dad, George in Steveston B.C. and they were married at his family home on Lulu Island on April 10th, 1943.
In 1949 they moved to Blind Bay where they spent many happy years and were active in the community.
Mom enjoyed gardening , sewing and was known for her delicious meals, baking skills and many other accomplishments.
She and Dad took many fishing and camping trips and she once won a contest for the largest Northern Coho salmon caught near Campbell River.
In 2006 Mom moved into her new home in "The Village" Salmon Arm where she met many new friends and special neighbours.
She enjoyed bowling, going out for lunch and playing cards at the Shuswap Seniors Club.
In 2019, she moved to Piccadilly Terrace where she took part in many activities, enjoyed the great food and especially the wonderful staff .
She never wavered in her love, care and concern for her family and was a friend to everyone she knew throughout her entire life.
