After a brief struggle with cancer, Mary passed away peacefully with her family at her side. Mary was a devoted wife, Mom, grandmother and friend who will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
Mary was born in Drumheller, AB and had been a resident of Scotch Creek in the Shuswap for the last five years. She is survived by her husband of 39 years, Eric Ottahal; mother, Phyllis Davie; four siblings, Richard, Carol, Danny and Darrell; children, Kevin (Alissa), Chad (Kendra) and Trena (John); five grandchildren, Kiana, Tristan, Roen, Talia and Tate; and numerous nieces and nephews. She will be greatly missed, but will live forever in our hearts.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held from St. Joseph’s Catholic Church on Friday, July 18, 2008, at 11:00 a.m. with Father George La Grange, OMI, Celebrant. A reception will follow in the parish hall.
