Diane MacDonald left this life peacefully with family by her side at Vernon Jubilee Hospital on December 23, 2011 at the age of 71 years.
Born in Langley, BC the youngest of 12. Diane became a registered nurse later in life. Nursing and caring for people was one of her passions along with the love for her family. After retiring from nursing Diane and her husband Henry moved to Salmon Arm to be closer to their son Mike and his family.
Diane was predeceased by her parents John and Mamie MacDonald, Sister Katherine, brothers; Ernest, Bill, Rod and Danny.
Diane will be missed by her loving family; Husband Henry Pedersen, son Mike MacDonald, daughter in law Denise MacDonald, grandchildren; Jenifer and Bryan Lomas, Jordan and Sherri MacDonald, Steven MacDonald, great grandchildren; Ana and Branson Lomas, Gideon and Jonathon MacDonald, sisters; Betty Ayers, Win Haskins, Elaine Bilstrom, brothers; Malcolm (Donna) MacDonald, Huey (Kathy) MacDonald along with many nieces, nephews and dear friends.
The family with to give sincere thanks for the kind and caring staff at Vancouver General Hospital and Vernon Jubilee Hospital. In Lieu of flowers please make a donation to the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
A celebration of Life Service will take place at a later date.
