On September 2, 2009 Mr. Mike Leslie Booth passed away at his home in Kamloops at the age of 55 years. He is survived by his family: daughter Andrea Egerton of Calgary, Alberta and his sons Tanner Booth and Stephen Booth both of Kamloops, his grandchild Kendra Cross and his brother Gordon (Bronwyn) Booth.

Mike was predeceased by parents, Pamela Hilda (nee Stephens) and Leslie Thomas Booth.

Mike was born in Kamloops, but mostly raised in Enderby and Salmon Arm where he graduated high school and went on to attend Simon Fraser University. He started work with CN Rail in 1976 where he worked 33 years until his retirement.

Always the avid sports fan, Mike took great pride and pleasure in coaching both of his sons for many years in little league baseball. (also his favourite sport). Family was very important to Mike, whether he was talking about trains with his granddaughter, camping with his children or spending summer months at “the farm”. Mike very much enjoyed the outdoors and loved to travel to warm places.

Mike was a good man who will be sorely missed.

A Celebration of Mike’s life will be held on Saturday, September 26, 2009 at 11:00 in the Schoening Funeral Chapel, 513 Seymour Street.
