With extremely heavy hearts we announce the passing of Mildred “Verneil” Kinnear on April 9, 2016 with her loving family at her side.

Verneil was born in Vulcan, Alberta on October 31, 1929. She resided in Calgary, Alberta until October, 2011 when she decided it was time to move to Salmon Arm to be with her daughter and family. She moved into Piccadilly Terrace where she met many wonderful people whom became her friends. She enjoyed loosing her quarters playing bingo and bean bag toss. Lots of fun was also found in crib, skipo and bus trips.

Mom was the most caring, passionate, loving, whole hearted person you could meet.

Mom is survived by her son Reg (Elaine) of Calgary, son Norman of Calgary and daughter Diane (Cam) Gerow of Salmon Arm, grandchildren Darin (Melissa) of Salmon Arm, Jennifer (Daryl) of Pritchard, Brent (Jessica) of Edmonton, Suzanne of Edmonton and great grandaughter Claire and great grandson Tommy, sister Hazel of Tacoma, Washington, Nephew Todd (Debbie) of Tacoma Washington and Niece Toni (Gerald) Lemay of Enderby. She was predeceased by her husband Donald in 2003, sister Pat in 2015 and son Thomas in 1966.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the charity of your choice.

A service celebrating Verneil’s life will be held at the chapel of Bowers Funeral Home on Thursday April 14, 2016 at 2 p.m.
